8/28/2019 Guild Announcement at the URCC Meeting

At the 8/29/19 Upper Ridge Community Counsel meeting it was announced the organization was served a 3-day notice from the State Grange offices-turn over your keys. According to Donna Yutzy, a Board member for the Guild in Magalia, this is but one of many Guild organizations throughout the state who have been served-those that have ignored the notices have been served with lawsuits which not only name the organization but also each board member individually within a week.
With no insurance or funds to fight a potential lawsuit and a board member who had lost everything in the Camp Fire of 2018-the De Sabla Board members felt there was no other alternative but to hand over the keys to the building to the Secretary of the California Grange. This will occur tomorrow morning in the Raley's parking lot located at the corner of Skyway and Notre Dame in Chico at 10:00 am.
